In the afternoon of September 19, Shenzhen INVT Electric Co., Ltd (INVT) signed a "Joint Research Center for Power, Electronics, and Electric Drives" cooperation agreement with Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in the signing ceremony held at INVT's booth in China International Industry Fair (CIIF). Mr. Huang Shenli, INVT's chairman and president, and Professor Xu Dianguo, vice president of HIT signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties. Leaders at all levels, guests and media friends in the industry witnessed the event together.
Founded in 1920, HIT has a history of nearly 100 years. In 1951, it was identified as one of the two demonstration universities nationwide to study foreign higher education modes. HIT is known as the 'Cradle for Engineers'. HIT belongs to the first batch of key universities in "Project 211" and it was selected as one of the "Double First Class" colleges and universities in 2017.Professor Xu Dianguo is an international renowned scholar in the field of power, electronics, and electric drives. He is mainly engaged in research work in the fields of AC variable-frequency and servo technologies. Professor Xu, as the person in charge, presided over more than 70 major national special projects. He also served as a member of the Electrical Engineering Section of the Sixth Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC), expert or director of several national assessment agencies, editor of more than 20 academic journals, and chairman of several international academic conference technical committees. He was also the first Chinese scholar to receive the IEEE Industry Application Society's Outstanding Achievement Award.
INVT has started to cooperate with HIT on multiple levels. After over five years of development, both parties have made great achievements in scientific research, industrial transformation, and personnel training. Based on successful cooperation in the past and INVT’s demand for continuously maintaining the leading technology, the two parties decided to jointly establish the "Joint Research Center for Power, Electronics, and Electric Drives" through amicable friendly negotiation. The joint research center will continue to follow INVT's business philosophy of "Market-oriented, Customer-focused". Based on the research of the latest international power electronics theory and technology achievements, and guided by the major needs of the national development strategy, the center will explore major scientific issues and major engineering and technical issues in the field of contemporary power electronics and electric drives with international advancement and national characteristics, to break through the major key issues in theoretical research and engineering applications. In combination with INVT’s powerful engineering implementation capabilities and extensive commercial networks, the center will quickly transform research results into products to achieve mass promotion of industrial application. By virtue of providing more competitive products with improved performance, the center will boost the progress of the national industries while continuing to support customers' success.
With the strengths of both parties, we believe that the center will make more profound contributions in scientific and technological innovation, industry promotion, and personnel training for enterprises, schools, and China's power, electronics and electric drives field in the future.
